Welcome to Excel Jet Consult blog post. In this tutorial, we want to learn how to replace empty cells in our data set with zero (0) in VBA. Let’s get started
In the caption below, we notice that there quite a few of empty cells in columns C:F. Essentially, we are going to write a VBA code that will automatically trap all the empty cells and populate with 0.
The first thing we are going to do is open our VBA Editor using ALT + F11 and Insert a module
In the code window, execute the line e of code as seen in the caption below
In the caption above, we declared two variable using Range data type and we set the range to equal to Range C2:F21
Furthermore, we looped through each of the cells in our data set using the IsEmpty command to trap all the empty cells. For each identified empty cell, we returned 0
Finally, we execute the codes using F5. In the caption below, we can see that all the empty cells have been replaced with 0.
