In the caption below, we have a sample data we’d like to visualize using 3D Pie Chart.
The process to insert a pie chart and any of the other chart types in to click inside the data-set, in the Insert tab, locate the Pie chart and click on it. However, based on the caption below, we discovered that all the charts are grayed out
Enabling Show All Objects
In order to use the charts , slicer, timeline etc, we need to enabling the objects
- Click on File tab
- Select Options located bottom left
- In the Excel Options dialogue box, select Advanced tab on the left
- Scroll down to Display options for this workbook
- Check All under For objects. Refer to the caption below
- Click OK
All the objects including charts are available and 3D-pie chart created as seen in the caption below. Refer to the video
